Miss Altamaha Scholarship Pageant
Due to the fees involved in producing the Miss Altamaha & Miss
Altamaha OT Pageant as well as providing scholarship funds, several
years ago we began having the pageant every other year. This year
we had hoped to change that and were very pleased with the number
of young ladies who submitted applications. Unfortunately, after
much deliberation, we will be unable to have the pageant this year.
We apologize for rescheduling and then canceling but we had hoped
that with the Teen entry fees and outside donations we would be able
to go forward but that isn't possible. With a low economy we do not
have area businesses with extra money to donate and although we
have several fund raisers coming up, we cannot afford to count our
chickens before they hatch.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and
wish you all the best of luck with upcoming competitions. Teen entry
fees will be returned as soon as possible and we hope you will
consider us next year.
